Some useful tipsBeware the fly by night roofer
In the roofing industry one of the worst kinds of crooks we have come across is what we call the Fly By Night Roofers. This term is given to the people or companies who go into an area because of natural disaster; typically a hailstorm in our industry, and stay for only a short while. That may be only a few months to a year before leaving for the next storm.
Though some of these people may have good intentions, the problem we have run into is that they are not available if any problems arise in the future. We also see that many of these people give warranties that are far longer then what is typical for the industry.
This tactic is usually used to hook the customer into signing with their company, even though they are aware that they will not be in the area to cover those warranties.
